Biography

Sindicato del Crimen are a Spanish rap metal and hip hop ensemble from Madrid, formed in 1987. The group appeared in the 1988 compilation Hip Hop Madrid with the tracks “Fans” and “Juana”. In 1989, the band released the studio album Hip Hop Radical and received the Grupo Revelación award from the radio program Diario Pop de Radio 3. Following a period of underground activity, the ensemble resumed activity in 1994. The band released the album ¡Qué aproveche! in 1996, which incorporated elements of acid jazz and rock music. Feminist organizations criticized the album's cover art. The group subsequently released the albums Deportivo VIH (1997), Ghetto Paradise (1998), and Viaje al fondo de la mente (2002). In 2010, the band released the album XYY, which featured a return to rap metal styles. The ensemble includes founding member Terry I.D. alongside Joseba Llanas, Juanito Sangre, and Tejeringo.
