Biography

Sim Jaehyun (심재현), born January 12, 1987, in South Korea, is a South Korean musician, composer, and former bassist of Thornapple, where he was active from 2009 to 2024. A graduate of Seoul Institute of the Arts, he began his career as a game music composer under the nickname Electronic Boutique (EB), gaining recognition through rhythm games such as O2Jam and the DJMAX series, with notable works like “Miles” and “DIVINE SERVICE.” Known for his strong sound design and production skills, he also led Square Records and contributed to album mastering for several game soundtracks. After focusing on his role as a bassist and programmer in Thornapple, he left the band in July 2024 to pursue his own music, later debuting as a solo artist with releases including the album HUMOR (2025) and singles such as “Jealousy / Ghost” (2025), “Adventure” (2026), and “Blue Bird” (2026), while continuing to gain recognition through performances and collaborations.
