Silvia Salemi, born on April 2, 1978, in Palazzolo Acreide, Sicily, Italy, is an Italian singer-songwriter. She won the Castrocaro Music Festival in 1995 with "Con questo sentimento" and entered the Sanremo Music Festival in 1996 with "Quando il cuore,", placing fifth in the "Newcomers" section. The following year, she returned to Sanremo with "A casa di Luca," ranking fourth in the "Big Artists" category. She participated in the Sanremo Festival two more times, in 1998 with "Pathos" and in 2003 with "Il cuore delle donne." Her notable albums include Silvia Salemi (1996), Caotica (1997), and Pathos (1998). Salemi also ventured into television, co-hosting shows like Il gran ballo delle debuttanti in 1998.
