Biography
Shugo Nakamura, born Nakamura Shuugo on July 28, 1988, in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, is a voice actor and singer-songwriter. He began his musical journey as a junior high school student, initially as a vocalist and guitarist for a local band. After graduating from high school, he moved to Tokyo and decided to pursue an acting career following a stage performance. Nakamura's breakthrough in the music industry came with his role as Teru Tendo in The Idolmaster SideM franchise in 2015, which included both anime television adaptations and spinoffs like Wakeatte Mini!. His first single, "Here Comes The Sun", was released on October 30, 2019. He also appeared as Issei Kuga in the TsukiPro idol anime series, with his character's tie-in single "SQ QUELL KachÅfÅ«getsu 'Hana'-hen" charting at Number 41 on the Oricon Singles Chart on April 2, 2018. Nakamura released several notable singles, including "Ruten" (æµè»¢) in 2022, "WINNER" (October 16, 2022), and "fist of hope" (March 29, 2023). Nakamura won the Best New Actor Award at the 13th Seiyu Awards in 2019.
