Biography
Kessoku Band is a fictional band featured in the Japanese four-panel manga series Bocchi the Rock! written by Aki Hamaji. Adapted for screen in October 2022, the anime series brought the group to life, featuring Yoshino Aoyama as Hitori GotÅ/Bocchi (lead guitarist), Sayumi Suzushiro as Nijika Ijichi (drums), Saku Mizuno as RyÅ Yamada (bass) and Ikumi Hasegawa as Ikuyo Kita (vocals). The bandâs first single and opening theme, âSeishun Complexâ written by Japanese singer/songwriters Otoha and Ai Higuchi was released on October 12, 2022 followed by ending theme âDistortionâ by Maguro Taniguchi (from J-Rock group KANA-BOON). Three promotional teaser videos were released prior to the bandâs recording debut, including âGuitar, Loneliness and the Blue Planetâ written by hitmaker ZAQ, with the self-titled album released on December 28, 2022.
