Stephane Moraille, born August 13, 1970, in PortâauâPrince, Haiti, is a singer and lawyer from Quebec who adopted the stage name Shauna Davis to launch a career in music. She entered the scene in 1993 with the single "Get Away", which earned a Juno nomination and a Much Music Video Award in Canada. She followed this with the 1998 single "Try My Love", which was also nominated for a Juno. She released her debut album Get Away in 1995, followed by Into You (1996) and Try My Love (1998). In 1997, Moraille joined the Montreal collective Bran Van 3000, singing on the goldâcertified album Glee and the hit single "Drinking in L.A.", which peaked at number 2 in the United Kingdom. She returned to music in 2017 with the EP Pi Wo and the album Daïva (2018). In parallel, Moraille pursued a legal career, becoming a licensed lawyer in 2001, specializing in media law, and later serving on the board of the Canada Council for the Arts.
