Biography

Serena Brancale, an Italian singer with Latin influences from South America, was born in Bari (Apulia) on May 4, 1989. The daughter of a footballer, she learned the violin and piano as a child, then singing at the Bari Conservatory, where she obtained a diploma in jazz. After studying graphic design, she moved to Rome and took part in the X Factor TV show in 2009, before forming the Serena Branquartet, which recorded a live album released in 2011. In 2015, Serena Brancale took part in the Sanremo Festival for the first time with the song "Galleggiare", from her debut solo album. Signed by the Isola degli Artisti label, the singer recorded her second album Vita da artista (2019), featuring collaborations with Willie Peyote and Mama Marjas. After a duet with Ghemon on "Pessime intenzioni" comes the funk and soul-tinged album Je sò accusi (2022), with contributions from Fabrizio Bosso, Margherita Vicario, Davide Shorty and Roshelle. She also sang a duet with rapper Clementino on "Voglio di più" in 2023 and collaborated with producer Dropkick_m on "Baccalà" (2024), followed by "La zia" and "Anema e core" (2025), a song performed at the Sanremo Festival (ranked 24th), which reached number 4 in the Italian charts.
