Real name Sebastian Enrique Alvarez PaÅucki, the German-born Polish rapper Sentino was born in East Berlin on June 8, 1983. Born to a Chilean father and a Polish mother, he grew up in Berlin's Pankov district, then in Warsaw, where his mother moved after his parents' divorce. In 1999, he signed a contract with the German branch of Def Jam Recordings, before moving to the independent label 5 vor 12 Records. His new contract led to the first album and homonymous hit Ich bin Deutscher Hip Hop (2006). Some twenty other albums followed over the next few years, and success came in 2021 with King Sento, certified gold, as did its successor Aporofobia (2022). A polyglot rapper who speaks Polish, German, English and Spanish, Sentino's album Megalomania (2022) went platinum. Several of his tracks also won awards in the 2020s. After Sangue Blu (2024) and a collaboration with Trueman on Business Nothing Personal in the same year, 2025 saw the release of Dominacja Genetyczna Alvareza Paluckiego and the Casablanca EP, accompanied by the homonymous hit (no. 2).
