Monique Séka, born on November 22, 1965, is an Ivorian singer known for her contributions to Afro-zouk. She began her musical journey at a young age, influenced by her father, Okoi Seka, a prominent Ivorian singer. Séka's early career involved singing with her father and later serving as a backing vocalist in the RTI (Radio Télévision Ivoirienne) orchestra. In 1985, she released her first album, Tantie Affoué, followed by Missounwa in 1989. Séka's career continued to flourish with notable albums such as Okaman (1995), Adéba (1997), and Yélélé (1999). She collaborated on several projects, including the song "Yaye Demin" by Meiway. Séka's influence extended to various best-of compilations, including La Légende De L'Afro-Zouk (1999) and 15 Ans, 15 Succès... (2002).
