Schelmish, a German medieval rock band from Bonn, was formed in 1999. The group's initial lineup included Des Demonia and other members who were inspired to create music for a birthday celebration. Their debut album, Von Räubern, Lumpen und anderen Schelmen, released in 2000, featured traditional medieval songs. Over the next few years, they released several albums including Aequinoctium (2001), Codex lascivus (2002), and Tempus mutatur (2003). Notable collaborations included Michael Robert Rhein from In Extremo on tracks like "Veris Dulcis" and "Le pôvre Villon". Schelmish released their first live album, Schelmish - Live, in 2005, followed by Mente Capti in 2006, which featured a mix of medieval instruments and rock elements. The band disbanded in 2012 and reformed as InVictus.
