Biography

Saving Jane, an American rock band from Columbus, Ohio, was formed in 2001 and led by singer Marti Dodson. The band's full-length debut album, Girl Next Door, released on October 11, 2005, marked their breakthrough moment with the title track receiving significant radio airplay. This attention led to a contract with Republic/Universal Records, helping them debut on the Billboard charts. "Girl Next Door" peaked at Number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100, and its video debuted on MTV's Total Request Live countdown at Number 9 on April 24, 2006. Following their debut, Saving Jane released their second album, One Girl Revolution, on August 7, 2007. The band continued to release singles such as "Butterflies" in 2009 and the EP Vampire Diaries in early 2010. Their final single, "Worst of Me", was released on October 25, 2010, intended for their album Psycho Ex-Girlfriend, which was ultimately shelved. The band, then named Union Rose, disbanded in 2013.
