Biography
Sara Sofia Correia, born on May 27, 1993, in Marvila, Portugal, is a Portuguese fado singer. She began her musical journey at nine years old, training under Armando Tavares and performing daily by age twelve. In late 2006, she won the Junior category of the Grande Noite do Fado competition in Lisbon. Her debut album Destino was released in 2008. Correia signed with Universal Music Portugal and released her self-titled album Sara Correia in September 2018, which reached number 8 on the Portuguese charts. Subsequent albums include Do Coração, released in 2020, featuring contributions from LuÃsa Sobral and António Zambujo, and Liberdade in 2023. She has performed internationally and appeared as a coach on The Voice Gerações and The Voice Portugal.
