Biography

SanLuis is a Venezuelan pop duo formed by brothers Santiago Castillo and Luigi Castillo, who began their musical journey as part of the acclaimed group Voz Veis before launching their duo project in 2011. After Voz Veis disbanded, the brothers quickly established themselves as a new force in Latin pop, blending heartfelt songwriting with polished arrangements on albums like No Es Igual (2014) and El Plan (2016). In 2023, they released the emotional singles “Frío” and “Me Escapé,” both of which showcased their talent for crafting introspective ballads with wide appeal. This momentum led to their 2024 album Cuentas Pendientes, a 12-track collection that marked a turning point in their creative evolution, featuring standout tracks like “Fácil” and “Canción Idiota.” In 2025, they gained renewed attention with the single “Hay Fuegos,” a high-energy collaboration with Carlos Baute that fused romantic lyrics with upbeat rhythms, expanding their presence across Latin American charts. The single also left its mark internationally, reaching number 25 on the US Tropical Airplay chart. Over the years, SanLuis has also collaborated with prominent artists such as Sebastián Yatra and Silvestre Dangond, further demonstrating their adaptability across genres while staying true to their emotional, melodic core.
