Biography

Tayrone Cardoso Machado (born June 5, 1986, in Cachoeira, Bahia) is a Brazilian singer and songwriter celebrated as a leading figure in the arrocha genre. He began performing at age 14 in local bars and nightclubs, gaining steady recognition across the Northeast with his romantic ballads. His breakthrough came with the enduring regional hit “Volte Amor,” which was later covered by Leonardo. Tayrone’s self-titled 2015 album and follow-up O Choro É Livre (2016) expanded his reach, leading to the live CD/DVD Tayrone: Ao Vivo 2018, and further dynamic performances captured on Raiz & Modão (2020) and Na Dose Certa (Ao Vivo) (2022). He has collaborated with prominent Brazilian artists such as Wesley Safadão, Léo Santana, Gustavo Mioto, Marília Mendonça, and Felipe Araújo, demonstrating an ability to blend arrocha with sertanejo and forró influences. In 2024, Tayrone signed with Universal Music and released the DVD Raiz & Modão, recorded in Goiânia, marking a new chapter with high-profile production. 2025 saw the release of the live album Essência, featuring singles like “Tudo de Novo” and “Doméstica,” plus a series of EPs—Exclusivo Ep. 01–04—that explore modern sertanejo and piseiro sounds.
