Sambrasa Trio was a Brazilian jazz-samba group from São Paulo, formed in 1965. The group was a trio consisting of Hermeto Pascoal (piano and flute), Humberto Clayber (bass and harmonica), and Airto Moreira (drums). The group released its only studio album, Em Som Maior, in 1965 through the label Som Maior. The record featured a blend of jazz and traditional Brazilian rhythms and received positive reviews from national critics. Despite the reception of the album, Sambrasa Trio became inactive in 1966. Following the group's activity, the three members did not perform together again in this specific formation. However, they continued to work in pairs on other projects; Clayber and Moreira performed in the Sambalanço Trio, while Pascoal and Moreira were members of Quarteto Novo. All three musicians subsequently established solo careers.
