Biography

Born in Derbyshire, UK, on August 28, 1990, acoustic balladeer Sam Garrett writes reggae and folk songs from the heart. After making inroads on the UK's live circuit and winning the acoustic prize at the Live and Unsigned festival, Garrett was featured on Garrett was featured on UK rapper Sway's 2011 album The Deliverance and the following year, he performed his songs "Hope" and "Be Easy" on The Beat on BBC Radio 1. Making his solo recording debut in 2013 with the Be Easy EP, produced by Jake Gosling and Sway, Garrett released the follow-up Namaste in 2014, which was inspired by his experience of being at the Ashram yoga retreat in Glastonbury. 2016 saw the release of the acoustic Grace EP, through Sway's label Dcypha Productions, which was also the title of his debut 2017 album. In 2019, Garrett unveiled his second album, The Dance & the Wonder.
