Salmantyo Ashrizky Priadi, known professionally as Sal Priadi, was born on April 30, 1992, in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. He is an Indonesian singer-songwriter and actor who began his musical journey in middle school by forming a band with friends to perform at school events. During high school, he formed an emo band and started writing songs. Priadi's music career took off when he released his debut single "Kultusan" through GZZ Records in 2017. This was followed by "Ikat Aku di Tulang Belikatmu" in June 2018, which earned him a nomination for Best Solo Male Pop Artist at the 2018 Anugerah Musik Indonesia. In 2020, he released his debut studio album Berhati. Priadi's acting career includes roles in films such as Edwin’s Vengeance Is Mine, All Others Pay Cash (2021) and Yosep Anggi Noen’s 24 Hours with Gaspar (2023). He has received seven Anugerah Musik Indonesia nominations and an Indonesian Film Festival nomination for Best Theme Song. In 2024, Priadi released his sophomore studio album MARKERS AND SUCH PENS FLASHDISKS, which included the commercially successful single "Gala bunga matahari", earning him his first Anugerah Musik Indonesia award for Best Male Pop Solo Artist.
