Sakura Kiryuu, born Sakura Yanagita on April 22, 2004, in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, is a celebrated actress and singer affiliated with Horipro. She gained early recognition by winning the 41st Horipro Talent Scout Caravan "PURE GIRL 2016" at just 12 years old, becoming the youngest grand prize winner in the competition's history. Her stage name was officially changed to Sakura Kiryuu in October of the same year. She made a significant shift in 2024, marking her debut as a solo artist with the single "CROCODILE" released under Universal Music's Virgin Music label, where she also took part in songwriting. This year also saw her playing Juliet in the musical Romeo & Juliet and she made her debut in an NHK Taiga drama.
