Ustad Sabri Khan, born on May 21, 1927, in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, British India, was an Indian classical musician, specializing in the sarangi. He began his musical journey under his grandfather, Ustad Haji Mohammed Khan, and father, Ustad Chajju Khan. Sabri Khan's career took off playing sarangi with vocalists on All India Radio. In the early 1960s, he toured the United States with Ravi Shankar and Alla Rakha. He released notable albums, including Immortal Series: Sarangi Maestro (1992), The Art of the Indian Sarangi (2006), and Master of the Indian Sarangi (2008). Sabri Khan received numerous accolades, including the Sangeet Natak Academy Award (1986), Padma Shree Award (1992), and Padma Bhushan Award (2006). He passed away on December 1, 2015.
