Biography

Russell Shaw is a British composer and sound designer who began his musical journey at age five. In the late 1970s to early 1980s, he played in various bands and trained himself in music production. After studying at SAE London, he worked on TV shows like Terrahawks. In 1992, Shaw joined Bullfrog Productions, composing soundtracks for games such as Syndicate and Dungeon Keeper. Following Peter Molyneux to Lionhead Studios in 1997, he created the soundtrack for Black & White and collaborated with Danny Elfman on Fable. He continued composing for the Fable series until 2012. Notable works include the soundtracks for Satellite Reign (2014) and Earthshape by Bithell Games (2016). In 2019, Shaw joined Wargaming UK as Audio Director.
