Biography

Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out was formed in May 1991 in Cumming, Georgia. The band included Russell Moore on guitar and vocals, Mike Hargrove on violin, and Ray Deaton on bass. Their initial repertoire featured songs by artists like Bill Monroe and Hank Williams. The group released their debut album IIIrd Tyme Out in 1991, followed by notable albums such as Grandpa's Mandolin (1994), Letter to Home (1995), and John and Mary (1999). The band's live performances were well-received, leading to the release of albums like Live at the MAC (2001) and Round III at the MAC (2006).
