Biography

Rowwen Hèze, a Dutch band from America in Limburg, was formed in 1985 when Jack Poels joined as lead singer for The Legendary Texas Four, performing one song in dialect. They gained national recognition with their 1987 Carnival song "Niks stront niks". Rowwen Hèze's music blended folk, rock, Tex-Mex, Irish folk, American rock, and brass band elements. Notable albums include Boem (1991) and Station America (1993). Their 2006 album Rodus & Lucius reached Number 1 in the Dutch Album Top 100. The band became known for energetic performances and a mix of party anthems like "Bestel mar" and reflective songs such as "De Peel in Brand".
