Roffe Ruff, born in Gothenburg, Sweden, is a Swedish hip hop and ragga artist and music producer known for his anonymity and distinctive skull mask. He began his musical journey at age twelve, playing in his first band and recording rap songs with a friend by seventeen. His breakthrough came in 2007 when he recorded a single for the disc Mr. Gillis Reggaepropaganda Vol. 2 under the name Roffe the Ruffler. This led to the release of his debut album Ormar i gräset in 2009, which was made available for free download on his website. The album's success, with songs played over 450,000 times on video streaming platforms, propelled him into a wider sphere. Roffe Ruff continued to release music anonymously, including collaborations such as the EP Panterparken with Hofmästarn in 2010 and subsequent albums like Barrabas (2011) and Bootlegs (2013). His musical style blends Swedish hip hop, reggae, ragga, and dancehall.
