Born in Sorocaba in the state of São Paulo, Rodrigo Alarcon is a Brazilian songwriter, composer, musician and performer with a diverse musical range, from folk to rock to pop. He released his first single accompanied by a video, "O Lado Vazio de Sofia", in 2015 and received thousands of views in return within a day, sparking an ever-growing interest in his productions. After signing with the Taquetá label, the pace of releases accelerates with the seven-track EP Parte (2019) and the participation of Liniker on "Amor Acidente" . The same year sees the release of "Apesar de Querer", featuring a video in sign language. The track attracts millions of listens on listening platforms and is Rodrigo Alarcon's first hit, performing at Brazilian festivals such as Bananada. Following the release of the live albums Rodigo Alarcon no Estúdio Showlivre (Ao Vivo) in 2019 and Vazio (Ao Vivo no Cine Joia) in 2020, he collaborates with Ana Muller and Marianna Froes on the EP Taquetá, Vol. 1 (2021), produced by Niela Moura, from which several tracks are taken. In addition to his contributions to Swedish folk singer Sondre Lerche's Avatars of Love (2022) and Romero Ferro's Frevália (2024), the musician records his first studio opus Rivo III e a Fé (2022).
