Biography
Richard Butler Jr., better known as Rico Love, is an American rapper, songwriter and producer who was born in New Orleans in 1982. Throughout his career Butler's name has been associated with the musician Usher and one of Butler's songs 'Throwback' was featured on Usher's 2004 Grammy Award-winning album 'Confessions'. The album went on to be one of the most successful albums of the decade eventually selling over 20 million copies. Since the success of 'Confessions', Butler has been drafted in to work on a number of Usher's hits including 'There Goes My Baby' and 'Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)'. Other significant artists who have benefited from Butler's talents have been Kelly Rowland, Nelly, Chris Brown and Beyoncé.
As a solo artist Butler has released two studio albums, the first being 'TTLO' in 2015 followed by 'Even Kings Die' in 2018. His highest charting single as a solo artist was 'They Don't Know' released in 2014 which reached number 60 in the US charts.
