Biography

Restless is a British rockabilly band formed in 1978 in Suffolk. The group was established by Mark Harman on guitar and vocals, Ben Cooper on drums, and Paul Harman on bass. Their first public performance occurred in Sudbury in 1980. Restless released their debut album, Why Don't You Just Rock, in 1982, followed by Do You Feel Restless in 1984. After the release of their second album, the band reorganized, with Jeff Bayly replacing Paul Harman on bass. The band is credited with pioneering the neo-rockabilly genre and released albums such as Beat My Drum in 1988 and Figure It Out in 1993. Their discography includes the 1996 compilation The Very Best of Restless and live recordings like Live in Tokyo from 2012. The group continued to release music into the following decades, including the 2020 album Ready to Go.
