The Reptile Palace Orchestra, an eclectic worldbeat band, was formed in 1994 and based in Madison, Wisconsin known for their unique blend of lounge, klezmer, and Eastern European music. The band's lineup changed over the years but has featured notable musicians such as Biff Blumfumgagnge and Sigtryggur Baldursson of Sugarcubes/Björk. Their debut album, Early Reptile, was released in 1995 under Boat Records. Notable subsequent releases include Hwy X (1997), Iguana Iguana (1999) and We Know You Know (2003). The Reptile Palace Orchestra has also collaborated with other prominent bands like Boiled in Lead and Yid Vicious.
