Reimy Horikawa, born January 6, 1965, in Ginowan, Okinawa, Japan, is a Japanese singerâsongwriter and composer whose career began in the midâ1980s. After training in vocal performance, she debuted with the single "Zansho" in 1984, which marked her entry into the Jâpop scene. Her selfâtitled debut album Reimy followed the same year, establishing her as a rising artist. In 1985 she released Pansy, and in 1986 the albums Smooth Talk and My Sanctuary expanded her catalog. The 1987 release Endless Plus Version and the 1988 single "Speed Of Light" further solidified her presence on the charts. Throughout her career, Reimy Horikawa contributed compositions and scores to anime and film projects under the moniker Remedios, including works such as Fried Dragon Fish (1993) and Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (2011).
