Biography

Raphaële Lannadère, born in 1981, first came to public attention under the initials L, for her song lyrics inspired by Barbara, Léo Ferré and Jacques Brel. From her beginnings as part of a polyphonic group, the singer slowly moved towards chanson réaliste, releasing her first EP, Premières Lettres, in 2008. Three years later, her debut album Initiale showcases her talent as a songwriter, with contributions from Camélia Jordana, Patrick Bruel and Julien Clerc. Winner of the Prix Barbara and a Prix Félix-Leclerc de la chanson in 2011, Raphaële Lannadère reverted to her real name for her second album, contradictorily entitled L..., which she unveiled in November 2015.
