Biography

Raphaela Santos, born in São Paulo and raised in Recife from the age of 14, began her musical journey singing in churches, sharing stages with gospel artists like Cassiane and Aline Barros. Her transition to brega music came after joining the band A Favorita at 16, where her powerful vocals quickly stood out, leading to the group's rebranding as Raphaela Santos A Favorita. Her rendition of "Só Dá Tu," a Portuguese adaptation of Bebe Rexha's "I Got You," became a breakout hit, propelling her into the national spotlight. In 2023, she released the album Paradise 2.0, followed by the 2024 visual EP Timeline, which revisited her early successes with A Favorita and introduced new tracks like "Copo de Vinho" and "Itens Esquecidos." Her collaboration with Wesley Safadão on "Pense o Que Quiser de Mim" further showcased her versatility. In February 2025, she recorded the live DVD Chama no Bregão at Classic Hall in Olinda, featuring performances with Joelma, Natanzinho Lima, and others. Subsequent singles such as "Água com Açúcar," "Me Jura," and "Pensamentos Intrusivos" have solidified her status as a leading voice in contemporary brega music.
