Rachel Baiman is an American singer-songwriter and fiddler. She began her musical journey by winning the Illinois State Fiddle Championship at age 17. In 2014, she released her debut album Speakeasy Man. Her subsequent albums include Shame (2017), produced by Andrew Marlin of Mandolin Orange, and Cycles (2021). Baiman co-founded Folk Fights Back, an organization that organizes benefit concerts in response to political events. She is also part of the fiddle duo 10 String Symphony with Christian Sedelmyer. Baiman's music has been praised for its wry truth-telling and political commentary, earning her recognition from outlets like NPR and Paste Magazine.
