QFX, an electronic dance music group from Scotland, formed in 1992. The band blended bouncy techno with happy hardcore. Their first EP, Phoebus E.P., was released in 1992, followed by Energy E.P. and Freedom E.P. In April 1995, they released their debut album, Freedom, which reached number 5 on the UK Indie Chart. QFX gained significant attention with their cover of Moby's "Everytime You Touch Me", which peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart in January 1996 and led to an appearance on BBC Television's Top of the Pops. The band released several albums, including Alien Child (March 8, 1997) and High On Life (June 14, 1999), and had eight UK Top 40 hit singles. Notable tracks include "Freedom 2", which topped the Scottish Singles Chart in January 1997. QFX continued to perform live with original members Kirk Turnbull, Heather Allan Finnie, David Goonery, and Paul Giff (who joined in 2018), celebrating their 30th anniversary with tours across the UK and headlining various music festivals.
