Project Wyze, a Canadian rap metal band, was formed in 1988 in Sudbury, Ontario by emcees Yas Taalat and Bobby McIntosh. They gained recognition in the underground hip-hop scene opening for acts such as Dream Warriors and Public Enemy. In 1995, after moving to London, Ontario, Project Wyze merged with a punk rock band, evolving into a rap metal group. Their first EP, Trapz of Poetic Poison, was released in 1996. The band toured the United States in 1998, performing with artists like Papa Roach and the Step Kings. In 2001, Project Wyze signed to Sony Music and released their major label debut, Misfits.Strangers.Liars.Friends (2001). The album reached number 95 on the Canadian Albums Chart. After internal conflicts, Project Wyze disbanded in 2003.
