PREP, an English indie pop band formed in London in 2015, consists of vocalist Tom Havelock, keyboardist Llywelyn ap Myrddin, drummer Guillaume Jambel, and producer Daniel Radclyffe. The band's name was inspired by a phrase commonly used by ap Myrddin, "Have you done your prep?" reflecting their preparedness for performances. Their debut EP, Futures, released in 2016, featured the single "Cheapest Flight", which gained significant traction online and helped establish their strong online presence.
In 2018, PREP released two additional EPs: Cold Fire and Line by Line. In 2020, they released their first self-titled LP. The band embarked on several tours, including performances at the Java Jazz Festival in Indonesia and the Wanderland Music and Arts Festival in the Philippines. Their second studio album, also titled The Programme, was released in 2024. Recorded mostly during the COVID-19 pandemic with production by Renaud Letang, the album featured collaborations with artists such as Eddie Chacon and Phum Viphurit. The album received critical acclaim for its polished production and innovative sound, further expanding their global fanbase.
