Biography

PPZ-30, a Belgian fusion band from Brussels, was formed in 1992 by Bruce Ellison, Phil "The Vibes" Grouwels, Georges "Jo" Lemaire, and Éric Lemaître. The group released their debut album Whack! in 1993 and embarked on extensive tours across Europe. In 1995, Daniel Wang joined as a guitarist, contributing to the release of Sweet Smell of Sucksess and the EP "Jumping Jehosaphat", which charted on Studio Brussel. PPZ-30 continued touring extensively throughout Europe, performing at notable festivals such as the Dour Festival and Couleur Café. Their third album, This Is Not A Bell, was released in 1997, followed by Beautifuel in 1999. The group's lineup evolved over the years, with members like Laurent G adding electronic elements to their sound. Their fifth album, Duck My Sick, was released in 2004. Éric Lemaître died in January 2012, and this event marked the end of PPZ-30.
