Biography
Cameroonian artist Petit Virus began his musical career in 2019 and has established himself as one of the spearheads of a new musical movement, Mbolé, which was born three years ago in Yaoundé. Mbolé is characterized by its bikutsi-like rhythm and heavy use of percussion. Petit Virus took part in the emergence of the movement in 2020 with "Détecteur de Gué" , which he recorded with Petit Bozard, and "L'Envol du mbolé" , which celebrated the musical movement and was later remixed by another figure in the genre, Petit Malo. He followed this up a year later with "Mbolé Colonisateur" and "Inspiration" . In 2023, the artist nicknamed "the ndolè of the pros" once again sings the praises of his favorite musical genre on "L'Amour du Mbolé" , on which he shares the vocals with Watto de Souza.
