Patty & The Emblems are an American pop group from Camden, New Jersey. Formed in the early 1960s, the group consisted of Patty Russell and several other members including Eddie Watts Sr., Vance Walker, and Alexander Wildes Sr. Their breakthrough came with the release of âMixed-Up, Shook-Up Girlâ in 1964, which became their only Top 40 hit in both the U.S. and Canada. The song reached number 37 on the Billboard Hot 100. Following this achievement, they released another single, âIâm Confusedâ, but it did not reach the same level of popularity. The group continued to record singles until 1967, though they never replicated their initial success. Patty Russell left the music industry after the group disbanded, while other members pursued long-lasting careers in music. Patty Russell passed away on September 5, 1998; Alexander Wildes Sr. on November 13, 1998; Vance Walker on February 1, 2008.
