Biography

Paprika Korps, a Polish reggae band, was formed in April 1996 in Opole. They released their debut album Kolejny Krok in 1999, blending reggae rhythms with rock and punk influences. Their second album, Przede wszystkim muzyki (2001), included remixes by prominent Polish dub producers. The band's extensive touring began in 2000, taking them to countries such as Russia, Finland, Ireland, Croatia, and Norway. In 2001, "Facts of Life" became the most played song on Poland’s alternative radio station RADIOSTACJA. Their third album, Telewizor, released in 2004, featured collaborations with the Dresden Ska band Yellow Umbrella. Paprika Korps performed at the Ostróda Reggae Festival in 2004 and 2005. In 2010, the band's sixth album, Metalchem, was released internationally through Karrot Kommando.
