Biography

Al'Varela, nicknamed Papa London by his friends, is a singer, songwriter and composer from Cape Verde. Divided between his passion for music and an early soccer career compromised by injury, he tried his hand at rap, then experimented with Caribbean sounds and bachata before embracing the kuduro style. In 2009, his first single, "Dansa Kuduro", found favour with DJs and radio programmers. In 2014, "SueÃ±o Caliente " catches the charts with a potential hit. In June 2015, Papa London produced "Blessin Lov", a ragga dancehall track sung in French and calibrated for summer parties.
