Biography

Panetoz, a Swedish multi-ethnic band, formed in 1997 and includes members originating from Gambia, Ethiopia, Angola, Congo, and Finland-Sweden. The original trioâPa Modou Badjie, Nebeyu Baheru, and Tobiasâwere high school mates who wrote the initial tune "Jordbro" (2001). They gained attention through the Scandinavian reality show Hitmakers, performing "Efterfest" (2008). Panetoz achieved significant success with "Dansa pausa" (2012), which reached Number 1 on Sverigetopplistan for three consecutive weeks. They participated in Melodifestivalen 2014, presenting "Efter solsken" (2014) and finishing number 9. In 2023, they returned to Melodifestivalen with "On My Way" (2023), making it to the final.
