Biography
Quique Sinesi is an Argentine guitarist and composer born on March 13, 1960, in Buenos Aires. He began his career in the late 1970s with the jazz-rock groups RaÃces and Madre Atómica before performing with Dino Saluzzi's ensemble. His repertoire incorporated tango, jazz, and folklore, often performed on the seven-string Spanish guitar and the charango. Sinesi collaborated with musicians including Erling Kroner, Pablo Ziegler, Marcelo Moguilevsky, and Charlie Mariano. In 2005, he recorded Astor Piazzollaâs concerto for guitar and bandoneón with Lohar Hensel and the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin. His discography included the studio recordings Danza Sin Fin (1998), Soltando amarras (1998), and Cuchichiando (2010). His composition âCielo abiertoâ received international recognition through recordings by Berta Rojas and Sharon Isbin. Sinesi relocated to Germany and performed international tours, including concerts in Japan with Carlos Aguirre.
