Oliver Lieb, born in 1969 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, is a producer known for his work in electronic music, particularly in the genres of techno and trance. His early musical experiences included playing bass in soul and funk bands. Oliver Lieb's first releases were under the pseudonym Force Legato with ZYX Music, discovered by Torsten Fenslau. In 1992, he collaborated with Matthias Schindehütte from Harthouse Records for his techno project Spicelab, which became a notable part of the Frankfurt techno scene. Oliver Lieb also worked with other prominent artists like Pascal FEOS and WJ Henze. Oliver Lieb's first release under the pseudonym LSG came in 1993 on Superstition Records. In 1994, he collaborated with Stevie B-Zet for the literature CD Word by Rainald Goetz and formed The Ambush with Harald GroÃkopf. By 1995, Oliver Lieb parted ways with Harthouse and founded his own label Spy vs. Spice, releasing projects like Paragliders with Torsten Stenzel. Throughout his career, Oliver Lieb has produced numerous singles and albums, including Constellation (1993) and "Subraumstimulation" (1999). He is also known for his remixes of artists such as Sven Väth, Faithless, and Moby. Oliver Lieb's work often features analog synthesizers and unconventional melodies, contributing to his distinctive sound in the electronic music landscape.
