MatÃas Ezequiel Mansilla, known professionally as Malandro de América (formerly Malajunta), is an Argentine rapper and singer from the northern suburbs of Greater Buenos Aires. Born on June 20, 1990, he began his career in the mid-2000s through freestyle battles and underground mixtapes, gradually building a loyal following with his gritty, independent sound and storytelling rooted in barrio life. In 2021, he released his debut studio album De Nuevo, a 19-track project that marked the beginning of a prolific recording period. The following year, he returned with Mucha Calle, a 9-track album expanding his streetwise lyricism and urban influences. In 2024, he released Leyendas de la Madrugada, a concept album inspired by nocturnal themes and personal reflection, further establishing his place in Argentinaâs underground rap scene. That same year, Malandro broke into the mainstream with the viral single âAmor de Vago,â a collaboration with La T y la M that topped national charts and introduced his music to a broader audience. He followed this success with the album Mucho Lov! First Class in 2025, reflecting his continued evolution while preserving his DIY ethos. Later that year, he dropped the EP Destino, recorded in collaboration with rapper G5.
