Noel de Medeiros Rosa, known as Noel Rosa, and born on December 11, 1910, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was a samba musician, singer, guitarist, mandolinist, and composer. He started playing the mandolin at an early age and released his first compositions "Minha Viola" and "Festa no Céu" in 1929. His breakthrough came in 1930 with the samba "Com que roupa?", which became a classic in Brazilian music. His music significantly impacted the samba genre, bridging working-class and middle-class audiences. He died on May 4, 1937, at the age of 26. In 2016, he received the Order of Cultural Merit posthumously for his contributions to Brazilian music.
