Marty Willson-Piper, born Martin Howard Willson-Piper on May 7, 1958 in Stockport, Cheshire, is an English guitarist and singer-songwriter. He learned to play guitar at age 14 from his brother. In April 1980, he moved to Australia and joined The Church after seeing them perform as a three-piece band. Willson-Piper became an integral member of The Church for 33 years, contributing to most of their studio releases until 2013. He also played guitar for All About Eve from 1991 to 1993 and again from 1999 to 2002. Willson-Piper has maintained a steady solo output since the mid-1980. Four of his solo albums are collaborations with Dare Mason under the name Noctorum.
