Biography

Nochnye Snaipery, a Russian rock group, was formed in 1993 by Diana Arbenina and Svetlana Surganova. The duo met in Saint Petersburg and began performing as an acoustic act. Their breakthrough came when they won a regional round of the All-Russian Musical Competition "Student Spring" in 1994. In 1998, Nochnye Snaipery released their first official album Капля дёгтя в бочке мёда. The band's popularity grew significantly with the release of their single "Tridtsat Pervaya Vesna" ("31st Spring") in 2000. In December 2002, Surganova left to pursue a solo career. Arbenina continued as the lead vocalist and released several albums including Цунами (2002), Тригонометрия (2003) and Бонни & Клайд (2007). The band has participated in various Russian musical festivals, such as Nashestvie, Maxidrom, Krylya.
