Nine Circles, a Dutch-German minimal electro band, was founded in 1980 in Amsterdam by Lidia "The Rose" Fiala and Peter van Garderen. The duo gained initial traction through Richard Zijlstra's radio show on VPRO, releasing their first songs "Twinkling Stars" and "Whatâs There Left" on the compilation Radionome. Nine Circles released their debut album Nine Circles in 1996. The band disbanded in 1982 following Fiala and van Garderen's separation but was revived in by Fiala, who began collaborating with Joachim Saleina in 2010 before parting ways in 2011. In 2012, Nine Circles reformed again with Per-Anders Kurenbach, leading to the release of subsequent albums including The Early Days (2012) and Alice (2014). Notable singles include "New Era" (2011), "How's About The Aims In Life" (2012), and "Number Not Available" (2014).
