Biography
Nilon Bombers, a Britpop band formed in Cheltenham, England, in 1992, comprises Drew Norton on vocals and guitar, Gareth Ballard on guitar, vocals, bouzouki, keyboards, and violin, Kim Dorman on bass, and Martin Williams on drums. The group secured a contract with Almo Sounds and released the album Bird in 1996, produced by Kim Fowley, featuring their most successful single, "Superstar", which reached number 96 on the UK Singles Chart in May 1996, followed by "I'm Not Built For This". In July 1996, the band also appeared at the T in the Park festival at the Strathclyde Country Park. After the band split up, drummer Martin Williams later founded Silverman.
