Negative, a Finnish rock band formed in late 1997, originated from Tampere. The group gained recognition for their live performances and catchy melodies influenced by bands like Guns N' Roses and Nirvana. Their debut album War of Love, released in 2003, was produced by Lex Luthor at Cosmic Studios under GBFam Records. This album included the hit single "The Moment of Our Love" which sold gold in Finland. The band's second album, Sweet and Deceitful (2004), featured collaborations with producer T.T. Oksala and was followed by extensive tours. In 2006, Negative released their third studio album Anorectic, which included the single "Frozen To Lose It All" that topped the Finnish charts. The band won the MTV award for Best Live Band in 2007 and achieved gold status with their DVD release In The Eye Of Hurricane (2008). In January 2008, guitarist Sir Christus left the band, leading to a period of lineup changes. Negative continued as a quintet until 2011 when Larry Love announced his departure. Despite these changes, the band released their album Neon in May 2010 and embarked on a worldwide tour.
