Nancy Adele White, born November 11, 1944 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, was a Canadian singer-songwriter known for her comedic and satirical songs. She began her career as a journalist before transitioning to music and theatre after moving to Toronto in 1970. White's breakthrough came with her regular contributions of comedic songs to CBC Radio's Sunday Morning from 1976 to 1994. Her debut album, Civil Service Songwriter, was released in 1978. Throughout her career, she blended humorous and serious songwriting, releasing notable albums such as Unexpected (1983), Momnipotent: Songs for Weary Parents (1990), and Gaelic Envy and Other Torch Songs (1998). White collaborated with comedian Gay Claitman on various projects. She won two ACTRA Awards in 1979 for her work on the radio play Lies My Mother Told Me.
